The holidays can be a time of year when healthy habits are pushed to the side while we enjoy family, friends and food. We are easily side-tracks and often indulge in our favorite holiday treats. It can seem like getting back on track is impossible. And while it might be a challenge, it is possible by following a few simple tips.
Plan and schedule!
Block time in your schedule for things like meal planning, grocery shopping, meal prepping, being active and self-care. Planning and consistency are key to getting back on track.
Remember your WHY!
Be aware and mindful of why being healthy is important to you. Is there an event or sport that you want to be able to participate in? Do you want to be more present for your loved ones? Do you want to feel good in your body? Know your why and let it motivate you.
Feel inspired!
Surround yourself with like-minded people. Read motivational books or listen to inspirational podcasts. Boost your positive energy so you’re more likely to make good choices and decisions that align with your health goals.
Stay realistic!
Make sure your goals are attainable, realistic and can be done in a reasonable period of time. Change doesn’t happen overnight.
